Asacol
Asacol, also known as Mesalazine or Mesalamine, is an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat ulcerative colitis or inflammation of the digestive tract (Crohn's disease). It can also be used to suppress irritable bowel syndrome. Asacol is metabolized in the stomach where its predominant action is causing less systemic side effects.
If a dosage is missed, take it as soon as remembered or if you are close to the next dosage, skip the missed one and continue on the regular schedule. Never take two doses at the same time.
