Flomax

Flomax, also known as Tamsulosin, is part of a group of medications called alpha 1A receptor antagonists which help with reduce enlarged prostate or benign prostatic hyperplasia(bph). It works by relaxing the muscles surrounding the prostate, helping the free flow of urine and therefore, decreasing urinary symptoms. The enlarged prostate usually causes the urethra to constrict, causing flow of urine to be diminished.
