Vetmedin, also known as Pimobendan, is used to help in the management of heart failure in canines. It works by opening up the blood vessels and taking them away from the heart making the dogs heart work less rigorously. The capsules should be given to your dog one hour before food and twice daily, ideally one in the morning and one at night. You should start to see an improvement in your dog in 1 week and may even get better in the following weeks.
