Premarin

Premarin, also known as conjugated estrogen, is used to treat symptoms of menopause such as vaginal dryness, hot flashes, vaginal burning and irritation. It can also be used to prevent osteoporosis in post menopausal women or as a replacement of estrogen for women with ovarian failure or other conditions resulting in the lack of estrogen. Premarin can also be used as part of a cancer treatment for men and women or given to teens who are maturing at a reduced rate.

Premarin should be taken on a daily basis at the same time each day and can be taken with a full glass of water. It can be taken with or without food. If a dosage is missed, take it as soon as remembered or if you are close to the next dosage, skip the missed one and continue on the regular schedule. Never take two doses at the same time.
