Levoxyl
Levoxyl, also known as levothyroxine, and is used to replace a hormone produced by your thyroid gland. Your thyroid regulates your energy and metabolism. Levoxyl can treat hypothyroidism and is also used to prevent goiter (enlarged thyroid gland), which can be caused by radiation treatment, surgery, cancer and hormone imbalances.
You should take this medication with a full glass of water and on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before a meal. If a dosage is missed, take it as soon as remembered or if you are close to the next dosage, skip the missed one and continue on the regular schedule. Never take two doses at the same time.
